An Abstract

Summary

This evidence and gap map shows the available evidence, and gaps in the evidence on the infrastructure’s impact on nutritious diets, women’s economic empowerment and gender equality in lowand middle-income countries (LMICs) in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia Regions. The evidence for infrastructural interventions is not evenly distributed by geography and outcome domains. There is significant evidence on production infrastructure and nutritious diets outcomes in the evidence and gap map (EGM). Generally, women’s economic empowerment and gender equality are under-researched, reflecting limited research interest. Much of the evidence in the EGM are nonexperimental evaluation.
