The Evidence-Based Theory of Change (EBToC) specifically examines the impact of infrastructure development on diets, markets, and women's empowerment in rural regions. It recognizes the significance of infrastructure in driving economic development and agricultural transformation, as documented in existing literature. A valuable contribution to the development sector would be the creation of the EBToC as a global public good, exploring whether and how infrastructure can also foster inclusive outcomes such as improved diets for rural small-scale producers (SSPs) and enhanced women's empowerment. By doing so, the research aims to generate insights that can inform policies and interventions for promoting inclusive development in the agricultural sector.
