How does monitoring and evaluation apply to these sectors of interest?
Our sectors of interest are motivated by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inspired by the outstanding needs of most Global South countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. Monitoring the progress and evaluating the outcomes of projects within the following sectors of interest that are meant to develop communities and countries is a significant step in the successful development of both the individual communities and the global community. The monitoring and evaluation of these projects allows interested stakeholders (such as governments and non-profit development organizations) to participate in fostered knowledge, maintain accountability and achieve impact where it matters.
What is ICED doing within these sectors of interest?
By providing evidence-based research and engaging in rigorous monitoring and evaluation, ICED intends to support the development of the Global South. Our hope is that bringing innovative research practices and tools based on evidence will help decision makers in development organizations, policy makers in governments, and change makers within communities to make the greatest positive impact.
