The Impacts of Small-Scale Irrigation on Nutritious Diets and Women Empowerment: Evidence from Ethiopia, led by Dr. Tseganesh Wubale Tamirat from University of Gondar. While existing evidence highlights the wide-ranging benefits of small-scale irrigation, including improved food security, crop diversification, and employment opportunities, less attention has been devoted to understanding its effects on nutritious diets, women's empowerment, and gender equality. This project’s objective is to address this gap by rigorously examining the impacts of small-scale irrigation on these critical dimensions, utilizing data from the "Megetch Pump Irrigation and Drainage Project (MPIDP)" in Ethiopia. This study uses a mixed research approach to comprehensively analyze the impact of the irrigation program on women's empowerment and nutritional outcomes.
