Abdoulaye Gounou

Abdoulaye is a senior M&E professional. He has been Director General of Evaluation at the Prime Minister’s office, Benin and actually he is the Head of the Bureau of Public Policy Evaluation and Government Action Analysis at the Presidency, Republic of Benin.

Abdoulaye holds a diploma of Advanced Professional Studies from Senghor University of Alexandria, Egypt in business administration and project management, and a Master degree of Laws from the National University of the Republic of Benin. He is involved in conducting process and impact evaluation of public policies, capacity development events and collaborative projects development and implementation, such as Twende Mbele, a Programme with South Africa and Uganda and WACIE Programme, the West Africa Capacity building and Impact Evaluation, a Programme with 3ie within the WAEMU1 countries in West Africa. The programme received the financial support from WAEMU Commission and BOAD2. Previously, he acted as Technical Adviser to Ministers (Prime Minister, State Minister of Planning and Minister of Finance) from the Government of Benin for more than seven years, in economic strategy and reforms and private sector development.
