Ing. Dr. Issahaku Ahmed is a seasoned Chemical Engineer and Chemist with 19 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, Environmental Sustainability, and Water & Wastewater management. He excels in Quality Systems management and problem-solving, with a strong focus on both academic and industrial research. Ahmed has published 19 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as engineering catalysis and faecal sludge management. His PhD research centered on Sustainable Faecal Sludge Management in Ghana. Ahmed played a key role in achieving ISO certifications for The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Ltd. and led Sewerage Systems Ghana Limited (SSGL) to ISO 17025 accreditation in 2021. He contributed to the design and construction of treatment plants in Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tamale. A member of the Royal Society of Chemistry UK and the Ghana Institution of Engineering, he is currently General Manager for Water Supply Services at SSGL.
