Dr. Forah Obebo

Bio

Dr. Forah Obebo is a social economist with over fifteen years’ experience in food systems and agriculture policy research and, monitoring and evaluation. He has conducted research in agricultural value chains including vegetables, legumes, potato, avocado, tea and coffee. His recent focus has been food safety, gender, seed systems and impact of climate change and variability on nutrition sensitive value chains. Currently, he teaches at the Department of Applied Economics, Kenyatta University. He is passionate about mentoring young researchers - having been appointed as Mentor for the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD).
