Bio

Temitope Oluwaseun Ojo has a Bachelor of Agriculture and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics. He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in August 2019. His academic carrier started in the Department of Agricultural Economics in 2014 when he joined the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, as a Graduate Assistant. He has since then been a lecturer, researcher and consultant in the core area of Agricultural Finance and Environmental Economics.

His research focus and passion have been towards planning and implementation of national and local level adaptation programs in account for existing climate change adaptations that farming households are practicing on their farmlands for improved livelihood. He is a gender equity advocate and mentor to his students. He has been involved in a number of funded researches within and outside his University with 32 academic publications. He belongs to relevant international professional bodies (International Association of Agricultural Economists, African Association of Agricultural Economists) and also serves on many Departmental and Faculty committees.

As a young researcher and an academic, he has been involved as a research fellow in a project, Consumer Acceptance, Varietal adoption and Profitability Analysis of Investments in Vitamin A Cassava in Nigeria facilitated by IFPRI/Harvest Plus/IITA/OAU. He was also, a consultant for a project, Survey Monitoring and Implementation of Quality Assurance in the Model Village Qualitative Impact Evaluation Survey on Vitamin A Cassava in Nigeria. He has an extensive experience of creating and delivering multi-channel economic interpretations, reports, publications, support students at all levels, and dissemination of information through research as evident in his curriculum vitae.
