Gideon Danso-Abbeam

Gideon Danso-Abbeam (PhD) is an agricultural economist with over nine years of professional experience in teaching, research, and community service for higher learning and development organizations. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the African Centre for Crop Improvement (ACCI), University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, after completing his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the same university in 2018. Currently, Gideon is a senior lecturer at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, and postdoctoral research fellow at Disaster Management Training and Education Centre for Africa, University of the Free State, South Africa.

His primary research interests are agrarian technology adoption, impact evaluation, food security analysis, gender and climate change economics. Gideon's research has mostly relied on farm-level household surveys and micro-econometric analysis with econometric tools like STATA and SPSS. He has published many articles in international journals recognized by Scopus and Web of Science. Gideon has worked as a consultant for both local and international organizations such as Association of Church-based Development Programs (ACDEP), Market Development Program (MADE), World Education Incorporated, SOLIDARIDAD, Netherland Development Agency (SNV), Noe/A Rocha Ghana and Injaro Investment Advisors.
