Opeyemi E. Ayinde's key research interests have been in the economics of innovation in agricultural productivity, exploring themes such as agricultural producers’ behavior to risk and innovation, agricultural management strategies, gender issues and the effects of climate change on agricultural production. Ayinde has served as consultant to various national and international organizations, including Africa Rice, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and West Africa Agricultural Programme Project awarded by the World Bank. She received her Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from University of Ilorin.
