Hamdiyah Alhassan is a member of Forum for African Women Educationists, AGRODEP, and African Association of Environmental and Resource Economics. She received her MPhil in Economics and PhD in Development Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana. Her main areas of research include environmental and energy/resources economics and policy, solid waste management, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and food security.
